About Doc Rosey

        Hi, my name is Harold Rosenberg DO, BA, M. Sc. (Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition at the College of Physicians and Surgeons.) I was one of six physicians invited to attend a PH.D. oriented course, which included the chemistry of life
(biochemistry) that is important in comprehending the complexity of life and what is needed to sustain it.   I completed the aforementioned course with the award of a Master in Science as relates to nutrition. Years of practice involving intensive patient care as related to medicine, surgery as well as being involved, in family and individual socio-economic problems, paved the way for a new direction in health care. The trials and tribulations, as they unfolded, revealed a key element was lacking in health care. What is missing, first and foremost, relates to failing to take charge of our most precious gift, LIFE and secondly, trusting others to take charge of our personal domain, health. There in lies frustration as to who, how, what and when do we evidence successful outcomes!
        My learning experiences, a virtual, war against disease, utilizing surgery, delivery of at least 800 infants, writing death certificates, which came with the territory, has led to questioning failed results, while, simultaneously, attempting to find solutions. I never accepted facts, which inferred patients were either candidates for surgery or medicine, if neither, were inclined to be in need of psychology or psychiatric assistance. I have concluded that individuals have to take charge of their body’s chemistries, as a major key, which involves biochemical individuality or responsibility to take command of the gift of LIFE. It doesn’t take much of an imagination as to what results by ‘trusting others’ to take charge of what is ‘rightfully’ our responsibility. Look at the record, despite promises, we still seek the proverbial "Elixir of Youth" or a cure it all "pill." Look about, despite human ‘ingenuity,’ cancer continues to exist and to worsen matters, bacterial resistance to antibiotics flourishes. I draw attention to the fact all medication comes up against the ‘wall of resistance.’ Think of this as futile promises of ‘newer’ and better drugs, while the search goes on! How many promises of a ‘cure’ being just around the corner will persist while death certificates continue to mount not from natural causes but pharmaceutical failures!
       The war against disease depends, as a well-armed army overwhelms its enemy, upon optimum nutrients to support immune function. The immune system, life support, starts with unlocking vital function with in a miniscule egg (Ova) by a sperm. Within that egg are basic essentials, which support functions involving proteins, fat (lipids), carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and the maternal supply of water and oxygen. Sticking close to nature’s ingredients is the key to sustaining activities of daily living, while avoiding ‘junk,’ refined sugars, oils flour and convenience foods. Of course let’s not fail musculo-skeletel, cardio-vascular, nervous, endocrine needs by being ‘coach potatoes.’ Sound nutrition and exercise goes hand in hand like the proverbial ‘horse and carriage.’
       Doc has received from the French Government an imposing certificate inscribed in French from the REPUBLIQUE FRANCAIS SECRETARIAT D'ETAT A LA DEFENSE, CHARGE' DES ANCIENS COMBATANTS CONSEIK REGIONAL DE BASSE NRMANDIE DIPLOME, " de reconnaissance de ka France envers les soldats des arme'es allie's engage' dans les combatants du de'barquement en Normandy et de la Liberation 1944-1945," which was signed by Le President du Conseil Re'gional de Baise-Normandie, Senateur du Calvados, Rene' GARREC and co-signed by Secre'tariat d'Etat a' la De'fence charge' des Anciens Combattants, Le Secre'taire d'Etat a' la Defence charge des Anciens Combattants Jean-Pierre MASSERAT. The DIPLOME or Certificate attests to honor those who fought to liberate France from Normandy as well as the final liberation of France proper.
